Who should join?+
Senior leaders across financial and professional services with at least 20 years of experience who are transitioning away from full-time executive roles. The course is built for those seeking portfolio careers and portfolio income — not mentoring or unpaid advisory work.
Why is this programme different?+
It is built exclusively for regulated financial services and fintech, it addresses fractional and advisory roles rather than board titles alone, it focuses on risk, sequencing and accountability, and it reflects how regulators actually interpret influence and behaviour.
Is the programme relevant if I already work fractionally?+
Yes, particularly so. A core theme is that “fractional” does not mean “fractional accountability” in regulated environments. Experienced fractional leaders attend to re-evaluate exposure across multiple roles, clarify boundaries with founders and boards, and strengthen engagement structures and exit triggers.
How long does the programme take to complete?+
The Digital programme is a 12-hour on-demand online course. Flagship and Elite are 3-month courses delivered live online and in person. Flagship cohorts start every month; Elite runs 3 cohorts per year (September–November, Mid January–Mid April, Mid April–Mid July). All three tiers include 12 months of access to the online board course.
Is the programme accredited for CPD?+
The programme will be accredited for CPD from the end of 2026 onwards.
Do I need fintech experience to attend?+
No prior fintech experience is required. Participants should have senior-level experience in regulated financial services combined with strong interest in technology and AI and a genuine interest in operating under financial services governance, growth and regulatory dynamics. The programme helps experienced professionals enter fintech safely rather than teaching fintech fundamentals.
Is this programme suitable for first-time directors?+
Yes, but it assumes significant senior experience. It is not designed for early-career professionals or individuals seeking a career change into financial services. If you are unsure whether it is right for you, book a conversation with our team.
What is the expected outcome?+
Participants complete the programme with clear judgement on which portfolio roles make sense next, a defensible framework for assessing fintech opportunities, greater confidence to accept, defer or decline roles responsibly, and a regulator-aware approach to building a sustainable portfolio career.
Can I speak to someone before enrolling?+
Yes. You can book a confidential, no-obligation 15-minute conversation with a member of the FINTECH Circle team to discuss readiness, role sequencing and whether the programme suits your situation.
